Selection Criteria

Rihanna Scholarship finalists are selected based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, professional experience, statement of educational goals and objectives, personal circumstances or unusual family circumstances, and external evaluation. The financial need is not taken into account. The selection of finalists is done by Scholarship Management Services. In no case shall any director or employee of the Clara Lionel Foundation participate in the selection of the finalists. Once the finalists have been selected, a selection committee of the Clara Lionel Foundation will nominate the winners. All candidates accept the decision as final. No employee or consultant of the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) or Roc Nation, LLC, nor any member of the employee’s family or consultant may apply. No officer or director of the FCF, member of the selection committee, employee, consultant, or family member of an official, director, or member of the selection committee, are eligible to apply.
