The met fellowship Programme offers scholars the opportunity to study in the fields of art history, archaeology, museum education, conservation, and related sciences, as well as scholars in other disciplines, whose dynamic and interdisciplinary projects require close study of objects in The Met collection. With that being said, join the community of scholars, in which, met fellowships are awarded to junior scholars, postdoctoral and senior academics, and museum professionals for independent study or research.

Eligibility
Open to junior scholars, postdoctoral and senior academics, and museum professionals for independent study or research.The fellowship program is open to and regularly host international scholars, due to the unpredictable and continually evolving circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, and change in travel and visa restrictions, the Museum cannot guarantee that international scholars can travel to New York for the program and may need to change, delay, shorten, and/or cancel the 2022 and/or 2023 Fellowship Programs because of the pandemic.All fellowships are intended to be one year, except otherwise noted.

Two treatment reports and associated documentation with explanations justifying the reason for treatment and decisions entering each stage of treatment (not to exceed 750 words per object)
