#1. ESL Graduate Bursary for International Students at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, 2020

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Bursary is offered by the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS) is a support program for international graduate students who would like to strengthen their English skills. ESL bursaries scholarship is available for Graduate students in the following courses: Pronunciation, Spoken English (general speaking and listening skills), Effective Writing and Grammar (reading or general writing and grammar skills). The scholarship application deadline is in parts; Fall term (September – December) – August 1st annually, Winter term (January – April) – December 1st annually, Spring/Summer term (May-August) – March 1st annually. International students are eligible to apply for the bursary, though scholarship can be taken in Canada.

#2. Ursula Henriques MA Scholarship at Cardiff University in UK, 2020/2021

The Cardiff University is open for applications for Ursula Henriques Scholarship to pursue postgraduate research programs starting on September 24, 2020, for all MA programs. Competence in the English language is a criterion of admission. In 2019-2020 the award was used to create on a competitive basis two one-year partial fee scholarships of £2,500 for postgraduate applicants holding an offer of a place on a master’s program in the School to commence in the academic year 2020-2021. Up to two studentships are available and are open to all students of any nationality. The application form can be obtained by emailing endcap-pg-at-Cardiff.ac.uk. #3. GoOverseas.com Full Scholarships and DCU Partial Scholarships in Ireland

GoOverseas.com in conjunction with the Irish Universities is currently offering Full Scholarships and DCU Partial Scholarships for Students from the USA. The scholarships cover the applicant’s tuition fees only and include a round-trip flight, tuition and a stipend to the Land of Saints and Scholars. DCU is also offering 10 X €2000 Merit-based Partial Scholarships at Masters Level to Go Overseas Scholarship Applicants. Scholarships are available to pursue a Master degree program in the English language. Up to 10 scholarships are available for Students from the USA, though the Scholarship can be taken in Ireland. The Scholarship will be paid through a fee reduction only. Shortlisted applicants only will be notified by email shortly after the Go Overseas campaign closes and the winners, who will have been invited to submit an application through, will receive an offer letter outlining the original fee less the €2000. Students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale have a higher chance to be shortlisted (depending on their US University / College and statement). For our two grand prize scholarships (tuition waiver + stipend), applicants must be U.S. citizen to win. For the additional scholarships offered by universities and partner providers totaling over $50,000, applicants must be a citizen of the U.S., Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom to be eligible to win. Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

#4. USEFP Fulbright Degree Program for Pakistani Students in USA, 2020

Applications are open for the Fulbright Degree Program for Pakistani students to study in the USA. These grants cover tuition, required textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, health insurance, and the visa process. Short-listed applicants will be required to bring proof of TOEFL registration with them to the interview.

#5. Full Chinese Government Scholarship- CUST Scholarship for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2020

The new Chinese Government Scholarship- Changchun University of Science and Technology Program is now available on offer for Non-Chinese students in China. This is a full scholarship established by MOE to support Changchun University of Science and Technology to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Scholarships are available to pursue a Masters degree program in the English language. The scholarship awards; Tuition waiver, Accommodation, Medical insurance Stipend of CNY 3,000. Scholarship recipients registering on or before the 15th of the registration month will be granted the full living allowance of that month. Recipients registering after the 15th of the registration month will be granted half of the living allowance of that month. #6. AMINEF Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship for Indonesian Citizens in USA, 2020

The American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) is offering Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree.  The applications deadline is on February 15, 2020. The Scholarship is available to pursue a Master’s degree program in the English language. Applicants should Have a minimum GPA of 3.0,  Have a minimum TOEFL ITP score of 550 or IELTS equivalent.

#7. Fulbright Master’s Degree Fellowships for US Citizens in Israel, 2020-2021

The United States–Israel Educational Foundation (USIEF) is currently offering Fulbright Master’s Degree Fellowships for the 2020-2021 academic year (October 2020-June 2021) in Israel. Up to 6 grants are available to US Citizens and are designed to allow Bachelor’s degree holders to pursue a Masters’s degree at an Israeli Institute of Higher Education. The Applications Deadline is on October 9, 2020. Fellowships are available to pursue Master’s degree program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. The Scholarship Award includes; Full tuition fees for the MA degree (in the sum of $17,000), A living stipend for the full academic year of $13,100, Limited health insurance for the grantee, and Orientation meetings in the United States (attendance compulsory) and in Israel, and other grantee events during the course of the year.

#8. 2020 OAS-NYIT Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Programmes in New York, USA

Applications are open for OAS-NYIT Scholarship to study at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in New York City. To qualify for the OAS-NYIT Scholarship, applicants must be admitted to the University and apply to the OAS-NYIT Scholarship separately. Applicants must meet the Universities’ English Language Requirements. Scholarships are available to pursue a graduate program in the English language. The University will provide tuition discount of $1,500 – $3,000 / year (fall and spring semesters only) for students with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3 required. The Scholarship Recipients of Bahamian citizenship may also qualify to receive additional funding from the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas through the OAS-GOB scholarship program. This scholarship is available to students of OAS member state, though it can be taken in New York, USA.

#9. Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students at the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland, 2020

The University of St.Gallen is currently offering two different Excellence Scholarships to foreign Students i.e. Excellence Scholarships and Starr International Foundation Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are available for Autumn Semester 2020 and on the basis of merit. The application deadline usually is Eight days before the HSG admission test. Scholarships are available to Master students’ English-language programs. The scholarship grants in the amount of CHF 15,000 per program shall be paid out every year. Exceptional students are identified by the Advice Center for Study Funding on the basis of various criteria and are then asked to submit additional documents. This scholarship is open to foreign students every year, six scholarships will be awarded to students in the Assessment Year, which will be paid out over a period of three years.

#10. Partial IED Masters Scholarship for International Students in Italy and Spain, 2020-2021

IED – Istituto Europeo di Design and Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli – IED Como is now offering applications for up to 17 scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fees for 2020/2021 Master courses held in Milan, Rome, Turin, Florence, Venice, Cagliari, Como (Accademia Aldo Galli), Madrid and Barcelona. In order to apply candidates need to show proficiency in the course language at minimum level B2. The Application Deadline for submissions follow the courses’ intakes; June 14th, 2020 for courses starting in November, September 20th, 2020 for courses starting in January and February, November 15th, 2021 for courses starting in March. Scholarships are available to pursue Master degree program in the English language. IED and Accademia Galli offer 19 Scholarships covering 50% of tuition fee for Master courses 2020/2021.

#11. AAUW International Fellowships in USA for Women

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) awards International Fellowships for full-time study in the United States to women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate studies in the English language at accredited institutions are supported. The Deadline for this scholarship is on 15 Nov 2020 (annual) and the Next course starts in July 2020. This Scholarship is valued at $18,000 for a Master’s/Professional Fellowship.

#12. George Washington University Global Leaders Fellowship

The Global Leaders Fellowship is for incoming graduate students at the George Washington University, Course starts in Sept 2020 and the Deadline for application is on Feb 8 (annual). Three awards will be given to Master’s degree students to study any course of their choice, including the English language on the main Foggy Bottom Campus. Students from the following countries or regions are eligible to apply; China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, The Caribbean, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S.S.R. Successor States, and Vietnam. This Scholarship award will cover up to 18 credit hours. Successful students will have to provide funds from other sources for books, living, and other expenses. The Fellowship is renewable each year for a cumulative maximum of three years for Master’s candidates and up to five years for the doctoral candidate.

#13. British Chevening Scholarships for International Students

Funded by Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the British Chevening Scholarships are awarded to students from around the world to study for a Master’s program in the English language at a university in the United Kingdom. Over 1,500 Chevening scholarships are awarded annually, each of which covers tuition, a living allowance, and airfare to and from the UK.

#14. Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships in Australia for International Students

The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide full financial support for international students to study for a Masters degree (up to two years) in the English language in Australia. The scholarships include travel and tuition allowances, health and travel insurance, and a monthly stipend. Successful applicants should have already been accepted to an Australian university. The annual application deadline is June 30.

#15. Clarendon Scholarships at University of Oxford

The Clarendon Scholarships encompass a number of financial awards that can be used for Master’s programs at Oxford University in England. Each scholarship covers tuition and college fees in full, plus a generous grant for living expenses. Scholarships can be applied to any area of study including the English language and international students who are accepted to an Oxford graduate program are automatically considered for a Clarendon Scholarship.

#16. Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are full-tuition awards for graduate study in any subject area including the English language at England’s University of Cambridge. The scholarships cover the cost of tuition at Cambridge, university fees, maintenance allowance, airfare to and from England, and a monthly stipend. Prospective students should apply to both the University of Cambridge and the Gates Scholarship program at the same time, using one application packet. The annual application deadline is October 15.

#17. Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship

The Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship is a monetary award ranging from $6,000 to $20,000 per year. The fellowship, aimed at graduate students wishing to study the English language in the United States or abroad. The annual application deadline is in the fall, though prospective applicants are encouraged to check the website for specific dates.

#18. EWC Graduate Degree Scholarships for Asia and the Pacific

The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides funding for up to 24 months for Master’s or Doctoral degree study for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the U.S. to participate in the educational, residential, and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i.

#19. Tianjin University International Student Scholarship for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2020

Applications are open at Tianjin University International Student Scholarship for non-Chinese students to study in China. The university awards full and partial scholarships to students to study for Master programs in English language. The full Scholarship covers the Tuition fee and Living Allowance cost, while the Partial Scholarship covers only the Tuition fee.

#20. Eric Bleumink Scholarships at University of Groningen

The Eric Bleumink Fund awards scholarships to talented students from developing countries.  The scholarships are towards a 1 year or 2 years Master’s degree program to study the English language at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. The Application deadline is on 1 December (annual) and Course starts in September 2020. The grant covers tuition fee, costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance. The grant is awarded for a 1 year or 2 years Master’s degree program.

#21. MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program for Africans

The vision of The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program is to educate qualified but disadvantaged young people in Africa who will contribute to the transformation of the continent. This $500 million program will provide students in the university with the knowledge and leadership skills needed to contribute to economic and social progress across Africa. Students will receive financial support for fees, transportation, accommodation, and stipends.

#22. UNIL Master’s Grants in Switzerland for Foreign Students

The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers the UNIL Master’s Grants on a competitive basis to international students who wish to pursue a Masters Degree in all courses including the English language at the University. The application deadline for this scholarship is on 1 Nov 2020 (annual)as the Course starts in September 2020. About 10 Scholarships will be granted for the minimum statutory period of the program chosen by the student. It amounts to CHF 1,600 per month from 15 September to 15 July (or 10 months a year) for the complete duration of the masters (one and a half years or two years depending on the chosen masters), with the exception of cases of definitive failure after the first year.

#23. International Ambassador Scholarships at University of West London

The International Ambassador Scholarship is currently open to provide financial support for outstanding students who wish to act as ambassadors for the University of West London. The applicants can apply to study for a Masters degree in the English language before the Deadline in 15 Jul/25 Nov 2020 (annual), as the Course starts in Sept 2020/Jan 2021. Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded to Non-EU International Students. These Scholarships are worth up to £5,000.  The scholarship provides a discount against the cost of tuition for the first year of study only.

#24. Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students

The Holland Scholarship, financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) wishing to study for their master’s degree at one of the Dutch research universities. The application deadline is Feb Ist/May Ist, 2020 (annual). This scholarship amounts to €5,000 and is awarded for one year and can only be received once.

#25. ENS International Selection Scholarships

Each year, École Normale Supérieure (ENS) organizes an international scholarship for promising international students to study a Masters Degree in the English language at the University. The application deadline is on 19 Oct/31 Oct 2020 (annual), and the Course starts in September 2019. This scholarship covers a Monthly grant of 1,000 Euros for three years and a room on one of the ENS campuses.

#27. ETH Zurich Excellence Masters Scholarships

ETH Zurich is currently supporting excellent students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH with two scholarship programs: the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) and the Master Scholarship Programme (MSP). The application deadline is on 15 Dec  (annual) and Course starts in 2020. The Excellence Scholarship (ESOP) consists of a grant covering living, tuition fee waiver and study expenses (CHF 11,000 per semester). The Master Scholarship (MSP) consists of a partial stipend for living, tuition fee waiver and study expenses (CHF 6,000 per semester). The department can additionally provide a scholarship of CHF 1,500 – 3,000 per semester or offer an assistantship from the second semester onwards (with a payment of CHF 600 per month).

#28. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarships in Germany for International Students

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship Program for the promotion of foreigners is aimed at foreign students who wish to complete their MasterMaster degree in the English language at a German university.
