About the Sponsor:

HarperCollins Publishers is an employer with equal opportunities. You will learn all about the entire publication process – following a book from start to finish listening to the people working on it during their weekly lunch break and a learning series (lunch included!). HarperCollins Publishers is the second-largest consumer book publisher in the world. Headquartered in New York, HarperCollins has publishing operations in 17 countries. Writing across dozens of genres, HarperCollins authors include winners of the Nobel Prize, the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, the Newbery and Caldecott Medals, and the Man Booker Prize. HarperCollins is a subsidiary of News Corp. There are plenty of opportunities for networking, including an icebreaker bowling trip, and the end of the program ends with a presentation titled “How do I get a job in publishing” – which provides advice on a resume, job applications, job interviews, and networking.
